New Brighton area set to experience pop-up wine shop

An event is on the way that will bring a world of wine to the New Brighton area. It will be a pop-up experience and will give shoppers a chance to sample vintages from 20 different wineries, all under one roof.

The state’s largest one-day-only pop-up wine shop will be set up in St. Paul's Union Depot, and guests will be invited to sample those that catch their eye. They will also be able to purchase up to six bottles to take home to their own cellar, and this is just a small part of the fun to be had.

With a ticket price of $50, the ‘Clink - Sip and Savor Wine Show’ offers a full schedule of activities. There will be wine sampling as well as live music and entertainment that will provide a festive atmosphere for the occasion. There will also be a variety of freshly prepared small-bite dishes served, and everyone who purchases a general admission pass will receive a custom tasting glass that includes a special graphic design.

To help make sure everyone who comes to the pop-up has a safe way home, designated driver tickets are available at a discounted rate. Since alcohol will be served, all attendees must be at least 21 years of age or older.

The Minnesota Farm Winery Association has planned this showcase of wines produced in the state for April 27. The venue for the afternoon can be found at 214 4th Street East in St. Paul.
