New Brighton residents who love both beer and donuts might find it hard to choose between the two, but during an upcoming area event, they will not have to.
The Twin Cities Donut Brawl will see bakers from across the state throwing down in a baking battle that will raise money for kids in need. It will be a friendly competition, and the whole family is welcome to join the excitement and energy of the day.
Only 250 tickets will be sold for this year’s event, and it will run for three hours. Each ticket includes all the coffee and donuts the holder can eat as well as water and one drink ticket. Further beverages can be purchased for an additional charge.
The competitors in the contest will be vying for the title of ‘Show Stopper’ and best ‘Original Raised Glazed’. Each attendee will be given a scorecard and punchcard so they can jot down notes and other details, and providing them with promotional Pens they can keep as a memento of the occasion can make it easy for them to do so. Boxes will also be supplied so that the guests can carry their donuts as they go from vendor to vendor.
