Many New Brighton holiday enthusiasts will soon be heading to the Union Depot for festive holiday events.
The North Pole Express will be taking passengers to see Santa. On the way, guests will write their letters to him, Santa will board the train at the North Pole, collect the letters and talk with the children on the return trip. Guests may enjoy treats and activities in the St. Paul Union Depot.
The North Pole Express will take place December 1 to 3, and 7 to 10 at St. Paul Union Depot, 240 Kellogg Boulevard, East St. Paul.
On Saturday, December 2, Union Depot will have a Tree Lighting and Movie night featuring the Mistletones, children’s activities, hot chocolate, giveaways, and photo opportunities starting at 5:30 pm. The tree lighting at 7:00 pm will also include fireworks and a sing-along, and at 7:30 pm, the movie “Elf” will be shown in the Waiting Room.
The gaily lit Canadian Pacific Holiday Train will pull into the station between 6:45 pm and 7:00 pm on Sunday, December 10. Tenille Townes and Breland will hold a free 45-minute concert, before and after which the crowd can enjoy complimentary hot chocolate, model train displays, and family activities.
Non-perishable food items, donations, and proceeds from the VIP tickets will go to a local food pantry. Ones that accept donations like these often put the contributing business’s Logo Design in their newsletters.
