An Apple Festival will be held at the end of September, while New Brighton Parks & Recreation will be presenting an event especially for dogs and a pumpkin walk in October.
Gibbs Farm will hold its annual Apple Festival with orchard tours, cider pressing, apple facts, prairie scavenger hunt, and apple tasting flights of lesser-known apples. Light of the Moon will provide the music, Peggy Stien will be vending woodblock prints.
Gibbs Farm Apple Festival will be on Saturday, September 30 from 10:00am to 2:00pm at 2097 Larpenteur Ave W, Falcon Heights.
Tails and Trails will be a free event for dogs and their owners. The event will have free dog-themed activities, and demonstrations by the Mounds View Police Department’s K9 Unit and Anoka County 4H Dog Project.
Tails and Trails will take place from noon to 2:30pm on Sunday, October 8 in Hansen Park, 1555 5th Street NW.
The fourth annual New Brighton Pumpkin Walk will have a path of glowing pumpkins. A DJ will emcee a glow dance, and guests may enjoy participating in glow games. The New Brighton Community Center will provide all supplies and pumpkins for a carving event.
