New Brighton fans of ‘80s TV sitcoms are invited to salute one of the decade’s most popular comedies in May.
‘The Golden Girls’ will be the theme for an upcoming Minneapolis pub crawl, and it will even include a Guinness World Record attempt.
Those who register for the occasion are welcome to attend dressed as their favorite character, and the event will be kicking off at the Pourhouse. The group will attempt to break the record for having the most people dressed up as a character from ‘The Golden Girls’ in one place, but arriving in costume is not required.
After the record is hopefully broken, the participants will be divided into four groups named Sophia, Blanche, Rose, and Dorothy. Each group will be assigned its own schedule for the day, and they will begin hitting local watering holes starting at 10:30 am. Each location will offer a special themed surprise, and the event is reserved for those who are at least 21 years of age.
As a special souvenir of the occasion, the organizers are offering T-Shirts that have been printed with a custom graphic design. The attendees can purchase the one that has been printed with their team mascot and wear it proudly when they hit the town.
This throwback to the ‘80s has been planned for May 11. It will take place at various establishments in Minneapolis.
