The Easter Bunny will be busy here in New Brighton with an Easter party, and two hunts during the first part of April.
Geared to little ones three through eight, a Bunny Hop Kids Party will take place, beginning with a short Easter Bunny meet-and-greet. Kids may have their pictures taken with the bunny, and some often want to have duplicates made at local Print shops to be sent to grandparents.
Young attendees will get to enjoy spring-themed activities, crafts, games, bunny face painting. and a sensory egg hunt.
The Bunny Hop Kids party will be Friday, April 7 from 9:30 am to 11:15 am at 400 10th St. NW. Registration is $15.
Also, New Brighton Residents Association will hold its annual The Great Eggscape on April 1st. There will be two timeslots - one from 10:00 to noon and the other from 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm at the New Brighton Clubhouse. Each session will offer crafts, games, an Easter egg hunt, and photos with the Easter Bunny.
On the same day, New Brighton Parks and Recreation will host an Open Swim Egg Hunt for children 1 – 12 years old from noon to 2:00 pm at the Highview Middle School Pool, 2300 7th St. NW. Activities will include an in-pool egg hunt, music, prizes, and an open swim. Eggs will be dropped into the water at 12:25 pm, and the “hunt” will begin at 12:30 pm. Online registration is required, and admission is $5.
