The second day will see free Connolly Classic Pond Hockey take place from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on the lake. Registration will be required. Taylor’s Version Skate Night will see ice dancing and skating accompanied by Taylor Swift tunes. The Wisconsin Fishing Team will present an ice fishing derby and skaters may learn to curl with lessons offered by Outdoor UW and Hoofers on Lake Mendota.
Rec Wall will have skating lessons on day three, with a daytime snowshoe hike to Picnic Point and one among the Lake Mendota winter lights in the evening. Other activities on the day will include a DIY luminary workshop, ice pick sledding, a rhythm game challenge called Winter Beats, and a “Snow Ball” hosted by the Hoofer Sailing Club.
On the closing Saturday, guests will be treated to making maple taffy in the snow, a rail jam, scavenger hunt, and games including curling, cornhole, and human bowling.
Colleges and universities often have pictures of events like this sent to local Print shops to be part of their prospective student guides.
