Minneapolis spends weekend at Shamrock Shakedown

For something a little different for the St. Patrick's weekend, Shamrock Shakedown will take place for two evenings in mid-March.

Shamrock Shakedown will be a two-night indoor festival of improvisational, jam, bluegrass and psychedelic music.

The first evening will begin with Squeaky Feet. Squeaky Feet is a Berklee-trained group bringing jazz fusion, and prog-rock/jam hybrid to the stage. Feed the Talking Dog, the group following the Squeaky Feet, will be a tribute to Talking Head. Twine will be the final band for the evening, and it is a Minneapolis jam band playing blues, rock, folk, funk and Americana. Their program is crowd-responsive and improvisational.

On day two, the lineup will begin with Useful Jenkins, a jam-grass band playing mandolin, acoustic guitar, violin, bass, cello and drums with three-part harmonies. Feed the Dog will be the second band, and this is an experimental jam-grass group with high-energy violin-driven melodies. The final act for the evening and for the festival will be Dead Larry. Dead Larry is also a Minneapolis-based psychedelic, rock blend, funk band known for their high-energy, dance-friendly performances.

Bands like these often go to Print shops early in their careers and have the shops create either a Logo Design or graphic design to put on fan merchandise.

Feed the Dog’s Shamrock Shakedown 2026 will take place March 13th and 14th at the Green Room, 2923 Girard Avenue S, Uptown Minneapolis. Doors will open at 7:00 pm and music will begin at 8:00 pm.
