Minneapolis locals looking for something quite different might want to consider making their way to a sneaker convention called Connect Sole coming in mid-November.
The convention will play host to a wide variety of traditional show owners, collectors and aficionados. The event is meant for people who have an interest in such shoes and in meeting others who have similar interests.
Attendees will be treated to views of custom shoes, expensive varieties that tend to be endorsed by famous athletes and those that are setting the latest trends. It will also be a place where those looking to buy or sell can meet to make some deals. It also provides an opportunity to those who have been looking for specific types of sneakers but have been having trouble finding them.
Vendors will be setting up between 9:00 am to 11:00 am and general admission will begin at noon. Giveaways will be between noon and 4:00 pm and the event will close at 56:00 pm.
Vendors that sell at events such as this often have pictures of their product on their Business Cards.
Tickets can be purchased online for $7.83.
Children of all ages are encouraged to attend, and event organizers note that attendees are encouraged to bring sneaker affiliated items or products, such as inks for dying, artwork depicting sneakers or even interesting or unique laces to sell.
Connect Sole will take place at Minnehaha Academy High School, 3100 West River Parkway on November 16.
