Ranked number four in the America’s Oktoberfests, Twin Cities will be holding their 13th Annual event in early October. All entertainment, music, food, and beer will be local.
Food will include Gerhard’s Brats German potato salad and brats, Aki’s Breadhaus German pretzels, Sara’s Tipsy Pies sweet and savory pies, and Big Guy’s BBQ candied bacon and chicken thigh sandwiches. Meanwhile, the Nuthaus will bring the roasted nuts for all attendees to enjoy.
Traditional German Oktobertfest music will be provided by Alpensterne and The Bavarian Musikmeisters on Saturday afternoon, while Doctor Kielbasa and the German dance troupe SG Edelweiss will be entertaining on Friday. Cover bands will include Stand Ups on Friday and Papa Roof & the Soul Villains on Saturday evening.
Guests may try their hand-eye co-ordination with Hammer-Schlagen and Nice Axe. There will also be men’s and women’s stein holding competitions.
Guests can buy traditional German collectables and clothes at German Specialty Imports, and other merchandise at Made in Minn and Hagen and Oats.
Twenty different ciders and beer, such as Hefewiezen, Kolsch, Pilsner and other Marzen-style beers will be provided by Sociable Cider Werks, Lift Bridge Brewing Company, Lupulin Brewing, and Utepils Brewing.
One, two or four collectible half-liter Mugs featuring the 2023 Twin Cities Oktoberfest graphic design are available, along with beer tickets and wristbands to purchase alcohol.
Twin Cities Oktoberfest will be from 5:00pm to 11:00pm on Friday, October 6th and from noon to 10:00pm on Saturday, October 7th on the Minnesota State Fairgrounds at Historic Progress Center. Admission will be free. Get a Free Quote for Mugs
