Minneapolis Bouldering Project will be holding Boulderfest 2023 in early November.
Bouldering is the physical side of rock climbing including all hold types, movement, and most of the slang without using much gear. Bouldering walls range from 13 feet to 15 feet with thick padding about a foot thick at the bottom.
The event will begin with the Open Qualifier Round for both men and women. This will be for those climbers who can climb predominantly Elite whites (hardest to climb walls). This round will take place from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Friday, November 3rd.
Most of the challenges will be the following day and will begin with The USA Climbing Youth Qualifier Round from 7:00 am to 10:00 am on Saturday, November 4th. Intermediate, Advanced and Recreational Divisions will compete in the Community Round 1 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm and Community Round 2 from 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm.
The venue will offer music, raffles, and food trucks. The Vendor Village and Beer Garden will open at 5:00 pm, the winners of the Community Competition Raffle will be announced at 7:00 pm, and the After Party and Stein Challenge will begin at 9:00 pm.
Registration on event day will be $75 while spectating will be free. Shirts touting the event graphic design will only be guaranteed to pre-registrants.
Boulderfest 2023 will take place at 1433 W River Road, N. Minneapolis.
