To begin the spring running season and to celebrate movement, community, and food, Summit Brewing Company will be presenting the Minneapolis Hot Dash 10K in late March.
The course will begin at the intersection of 3rd Avenue N E and Northeast Main, take runners through northeast Minneapolis, and end back on Nicollet Island.
Registration for the 5K will be $54 until March 14, $59 from then until March 20 and $60 thereafter. For the 10K, prices are $64, later going up to $69 and then $70. The kids' race will be free. Proceeds from the event will go to the TC Kids Run Free program.
Swag for the 5K and 10K races will be adult and youth hooded tees featuring the Hot Dash Logo Design, and finisher medals that double as bottle openers. Kids aged 12 and under participating in The Old Dutch Litle Chippers Tater Trot will receive food and hot chocolate at the finish line.
A post-race festival will have a polka band, a meat raffle, bingo, pull tabs, firepits, free beer, free Uncle Franky's brats, and outdoor activities. Prizes will be awarded for fastest runners and best costumes.
The Hot Dash 5K will begin at 1:45 pm, the 10K at 2:15 pm and kids' half-mile run at 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 23.
