Runners here in Minneapolis are building their stamina to run the Hot Dash coming in late March. The event will feature a 5k, 10-mile, and Twin Cities Kids’ Tater Trot.
Swag will include Hot Dash finisher medals, 16-ounce white insulated Tumblers, and race T-Shirts featuring the orange and blue Hot Dash graphic design.
The first 150 people to register for the 5k will pay $35 and those registering in the next 150 group will pay $39. Those in the third, fourth, fifth, and sixth tiers will pay in increments of $5 until March 23, when prices go up to $60 until the race.
For the 10-mile, the first 150 runners will be $55, the next 150 will be $59, and fees will increase by $5 for each of the third, fourth, fifth, and sixth tiers. Tier seven registrations will be $80 starting March 23.
The Tater Trot will have five free options. Registration for the 5k and 10-mile runs will be free for children up to the age of 18. Younger ones can run the one mile, half mile, or pre-Kindergarten dash.
Spectators are encouraged to get some banner printing done and bring small Banners to cheer on their favorite participants.
Post-race amenities will include hot food, free beer for adult finishers, firepits, marshmallows, a meat raffle, and outdoor activities.
Hot Dash 2023 will be held March 25 at Boom Island Park, 724 Sibley St. NE, beginning at 8:45 am.
