Minneapolis razzle-dazzles at Holidazzle

Holidazzle is coming to Minneapolis in a few weeks. The holiday tradition will span five weekends of festivities.

Loring Park will be transformed into a Winter Wonderland, featuring musical performances from local choirs and bands, 10 weekly holiday classic movies, an outdoor skating rink and free visits from Santa. The popular Wolf and Moose exhibit will be returning as will the Mpls Craft Market.

Many days will have themes and local businesses will be giving away Promotional Products, coupons and holiday stuff. Kids will have their own activity zone, and WinterSkate will have free skating and complimentary skates. Fireworks will be displayed on November 23, and December 1, 8, 15, and 22nd.

Bonfires and a warming house will provide hot beverages and welcome warmth to those strolling through the festive lights and purchasing gifts.

Some new events and activities this year will be an interactive multi-person swing called the Thwing, sleigh rides, and giant snow globes for photos. Silent disco skating, along with Adult Craft & Vinyl Night take place on Thursdays, a s’more station is held on Fridays, and exhibitions of rescue animals and alpacas, brunches, and story times will be on Sundays.

Local holiday food and beverages are always a big part of Holidazzle. Some, such as wild rice and cranberry Holidazzle sausage and Fat Bike hot mulled apple cider can only be found here. Other gastronomic delights will include cinnamon roasted almonds, smoothies, wings, paella, and little pancakes.

Holidazzle begins Friday, November 23 in Loring Park, 1382 Willow Street.
