Five neighborhoods in Downtown Minneapolis will be teaming with activities at the Taste of Minnesota festival coming in early July.
At the event, the Magic Midway along Washington Avenue will have a zip line. A family fun area will offer inflatable games, a Bond Between Puppy party, face painting, balloon artistry, Hair Police, and flow artists. An artist's market will include local photographers, art galleries, and studios. Food for sale will include brats, eggrolls, shave ice, pretzels, gyros and waffles.
The Jazz Junction north of Washington Avenue on Marquette Avenue will have a Jazz88 Stage, food such as pies, tacos, pizza, and cherry lemonade, and an artist market.
The Belt Way, located south of Wahington Avenue on Marquette Avenue, will feature a F1RST Wrestling Ring, food, and artist market.
Nicollet Mall will have the Xcel Energy Singer/Songwriter Stage, food and a large artist market vending woodworking, jewelry, clothing, quilts and many other original items.
Prince Parkway on 3rd Street will have a Great Clips Main Stage. The stage will features acts such as Koo Koo, Belladiva, Gear Daddies, Sophia Dris, the Wallflowers, and Martina McBride on Saturday, as well as Sounds of Blackness, Johnny Holm Band, Morris Day and the Time, and Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis on Sunday. Food here will include burritos, paella, and donuts.
Many attendees will go online and order festival swag such as trucker caps, tote Bags, travel Mugs, and T-Shirts sporting the event's graphic design.
