Minneapolis holds 25th annual festival

The 25th Annual Stone Arch Bridge Art and Music Festival will be taking place in mid-June. Admission to all the activities, markets, music and art will be free.

The kick-off event will be a free concert in Father Hennepin Park from 6:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Friday, June 14th .

Over 200 artists will be displaying and selling their work at the festival over the next two days. Some artistic genres will include ceramics, drawings, fine crafts, glass, jewelry, live sculpture, metalwork, mixed media, painting, photography and Print making.

The Family Activities Area will have interactive activities such as a Crayola Experience hosting an imagination station and helping guests create a mural. Driscoll’s # Berrytogether Truck will be passing out complimentary berry treats, organizing games and passing out prizes to winners.

There will be Culinary Arts and Vintage & Vinyl markets and a Makers Workshop. StarTribune will host the Ugly Tie 5K Fun Run and ugly tie contest. There will also be a Kids’ Half-K-Run, snacks and music.

Every year the festival does some limited poster printing of collector Posters that reflect the spirit of the Minneapolis Riverfront. This year the chosen artist is Brian Geihi and festival attendees can find him, the Posters and tote Bags with the event’s graphic design at booth #101.

The festival will be Saturday, June 15th from 1:00 am until 7:00 pm and Sunday, June 16th from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm on the Minneapolis Riverfront.
