Minneapolis goes to the rodeo

Many Minneapolis rodeo enthusiasts will be heading to the Cinch World's Toughest Rodeo coming for two performances at the end of January.

Some of the country's most talented rodeo athletes in bull, bareback, and saddle bronc riding will be vying to get to the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vagas where they will compete for Pro Rodeo's World Champion honors (and money).

Cowgirls will demonstrate their skills in women's barrel racing, breakaway roping, team roping and steer wrestling.

General admission tickets range from $27 to $96 and include preshow activities such as cowboy meet-and-greets, pony rides, close view of the back of the chutes, fun with the clown barrels, and having pictures taken with a live photo bull named Silver Dollar in a bucking chute.

Many daring souls that have pictures taken at photo opportunities like this often take the pictures to Print shops to get duplicates for relatives and friends or to put into family newsletters.

VIP Party Zone tickets will be available for $50 to $100 or more depending on the extra perks such as hotel accommodations and private parties. These tickets will include a complimentary buffet, admission to the arena floor, special lounge area, and a private cash bar.

Shows will be Friday, January 31st and Saturday February 1 beginning 7:30 pm at Xcel Energy Center, 199 Kellogg Boulevard W, St. Paul.
