Twin Cities Carifest 2019 will be celebrating and showcasing all things Caribbean for the 26th year.
A “Fabulous Friday” kickoff party will get the festival started on July 26.
The festival will have top local DJs keeping the music coming. The lineup will include DJ Rick, DJ Diamond, DJ Safraz aka Temptation, Sounds of Fujun, Winterfresh, and Triniflex Sounds.
Live performances will be given by Patrice Roberts, Princeton Brown, Samantha Moon, Yankeyboy and Hunter. Rayzor, Leonce, Ire Sol, Havana Gypsies, Iras and Panhandlers are also on the agenda. Other performances will be East Indian and African dance groups.
During the afternoon, the Parade of Bands will head down the Parkway as street dancing flows in and around the parade route. The procession will end in ‘Carifest Village’ on its Main Stage.
Attendees can enjoy authentic Caribbean fare and specialties such as ice cream. There will be artisans and crafters selling their original work. Corporate booths will be manned by local businesses. Businesses that go to events such as this usually distribute free Promotional Products such as promotional Pens, yardsticks, and visors sporting their Logo Design. Both kids and adults can try their hands at games and take part in other activities.
Twin Cities Carifest 2019 will take place Saturday, July 27 from 1:00 am until 10:00 pm on West River Road N on the Parkway between Plymouth Avenue and Broadway. Tickets are $10.
