A couple of dog-themed events have been scheduled for Minneapolis during October - Barktoberfest 2022, and 2022 Canine Carnival.
Barktoberfest 2022 will be a local vendor market featuring a fall-themed photo booth and a doggie costume contest. Proud dog owners often take advantage of seasonal-themed photo booths to get pictures of their prized puppies so they can take the photos to local Stationery printers to be included in family Calendars and newsletters.
Barktoberfest 2022 will take place Sunday, October 2nd, from noon to 4:00 pm at Inbound BrewCo, 701 N 5th St.
On the same day from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm, dogs and their humans are invited to the 2022 Canine Carnival. Live music will be provided by The Insomniac, food vendors will be Sadie’s Taste of Love and Sociable Cider Work’s Rotating Resident Kitchen.
Dog-related vendors will include Doggone It Art, Farmina Pet Foods, My Pit Bull is Family, The DREAM Shop and Mission Animal Hospital. Other onsite vendors will be Matty’s Heart & Soul Animal Rescue, Dreadlocks for Dingoes, Bailing Out Benji, and the Upper Midwest Great Dane Rescue.
Proceeds from the event will go to the North Minneapolis Pet Resource Center, an organization funded by My Pit Bull is Family, a non-profit organization here in Minneapolis that helps families keep their pets by providing services and pet retention programs.
