The 5th annual Minneapolis Halloween 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon will have both virtual and live options this year. The live run will take place at the end of October.
Runners are invited to participate in their favorite Halloween gear to raise money for the Shriners Children’s Hospital.
Swag includes women’s, youth, and unisex black long-sleeve technical tees sporting the gold and purple 2021 Halloween Half Marathon graphic design. Other perks will be metal finisher medals also emblazoned with this year’s graphic design, social media Halloween photo frames, and discounts on running gear at Running Room Saint Paul.
Bags can be dropped off starting at 7:30 am on race day. The Half Marathon and the 10K will begin at 8:30 am with the 5K starting at 8:45 am. Results will start coming in by noon. All participants are invited to submit costume contest photos by noon too. First-, second-, and third-place award lapel pins will go to the top finishers in 14 age categories.
The Minneapolis Halloween Half Marathon will begin and end at Father Hennepin Park next Saturday, October 30.
The same swag and awards will be available for the 8th annual Turkey Trot St. Paul 6K and 10K on November 25. This will be a live event with a virtual option, and proceeds will be going to the Open Door Pantry. The 10K starts at 7:30 am while the 6K begins at 8:00 am in Upper Landing Park.
