It was the Monster Dash in Minneapolis

This year’s Minnesota Monster Dash will include a half marathon, 10 mile, 10K, and 5K timed and untimed races just before Halloween.

The Half Marathon will begin at 8:30 am near St. Paul Cathedral and end at Upper Landing Park. The 10-mile will also begin at 8:30 am at the same location, and end at the half marathon 10-mile mark. Shuttles will be at the location to take the 10-mile participants on to Upper Landing Park.

The 10K will begin and end at Upper Landing park and start at 9:00 am. The 5K timed races start at 10:30 am and the 5K untimed will start 10 minutes later. These two races will also begin and end at Upper Landing Park.

Costume contest awards will be handed out at the after party. Prizes will go to the top three winners in six categories – individual male, female, boy, girl, couples and group, and an overall winner.

Winners of Halloween contests such as this often take pictures in their winning Halloween finery and get copies made at local Print shops for family and friends.

Minneapolis participants will need to be at Cathedral of St. Paul or Upper Landing Park Saturday, October 31 at their appointed race times. Upper Landing Park is located at Eagle St. Parkway and Spring Street in St. Paul, and Cathedral of St. Paul, 239 Selby Avenue, St. Paul.
