Many Minneapolis revelers ready to celebrate summer will be heading to Grand Old Day coming in early June.
The festivities will begin with a Grand Old Day 3K. Onsite Registration will begin at 7:30 am, and the 3K will begin at 8:30 am finishing around 9:30 am. Registration is $35 and includes T-Shirts sporting the Grand Old Day 3K graphic design.
From 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Grand Avenue will come alive with vendors, a car show at Grand and Hamline, a Green Mill Market, F1RST Wrestling and a Sports and Wellness District. A local artisan's corridor from Hamline to Snelling will have small non-profits, artists, artisans and makers, and a nonprofit area will be open.
At 9:30 am the parade will start. At 11:00 am activities and entertainment will begin. The Grand Stage will feature Yam Haus, Your Smith and Charlie Parr. The Flavor Stage at the old Salut lot will have music performances starting with Rosie at 11:00 am to Obi Original & the Black Atlantics beginning at 5:00 pm. The Youth Performance Stage in Kowalski's lot will have the Twin Cities Mobile Jazz Project. Other performances are scheduled for the Iron Ranger, Walgreens School of Rock Stage, Billy on Grand, Red Rabbit, F1rst Wrestling stages.
Grand Old Day will take place Sunday, June 2nd from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm along Grand Avenue in St. Paul.
