GeekCraft Expo is coming toward the end of April and Minnesota Con is scheduled for June.
GeekCraft Expo will be a curated craft market of handmade geek-type goods sold by local makers and crafters. The event has been created “by nerds for nerds.” This expo will be family friendly and perfect for those who enjoy gaming, geekdom, and superheroes. Cosplay is more than welcome.
Although exhibitor space has been sold out already, there will be plenty of opportunity to visit the event coming to the Minneapolis Convention Center’s Ballroom A, 1301 2nd Avenue S on Saturday, April 22 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and Sunday, April 23 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Pre-event admission ticket all-day wristbands are online for $2, and admission will go up to $5 on event day. Kids under 13 years old will get free admission.
The Minneapolis Convention Center will hold Minnesota Con from June 2 through 4. This event will feature anime, wrestlers, creators, cosplayers, actors, writers, artists, and celebrities, and will have over 25 vendors and close to 50 artists.
Some of the 23 special guests will be actors Michael Rooker, Shaun Gunn, Walter Jones, and Cooper Andrews; Marvel Comics illustrator Sam De La Rosa; Editor-in-Chief of Papercutz Jim Salicrup comedian Steve Agee; and American Comics artist James O’Barr. Cosplayers will include Krystle Starr, AzPowerGirl, and Lady Icellina.
