Veggie Festival returns to Fairfax

The 2021 Fairfax Veg Fest happens later this month, with a bountiful harvest of products and information for living a healthy, plant-based lifestyle.

The event will be held at the Credit Union in Herndon. All residents in the neighboring communities, including Gaithersburg, Rockville, and Arlington, are invited to attend.

The festival will include plant-based diet expert speakers, vegan and vegetarian cooking demonstrations, activities for children, and an animal rescue adoption center. Veg Fest is open to those experienced in living a vegan lifestyle, as well as individuals considering changing their eating habits.

Local sources of plant-based food products, as well as vendors of cruelty-free and eco-friendly merchandise, will be on site with their newest wares and favorite products. The event will provide an opportunity to connect with local food sources, service providers and product manufacturers. Business Cards and Promotional Products may be distributed by participating companies. Exhibitors already scheduled to attend will include, A Vegan Life, In the Raw with Soul and My Vegan Sweet Tooth.

The event will be hosted by GreenFare Health and Wellness; a non-profit group that plans to study the benefits of a plant-based diet on several chronic diseases. Once completed, the studies will be published in the American College of Lifestyle Medicine. Donations are currently being accepted on the organization’s website.

The 2021 Veg Fest will be held on Sunday, April 18 from 10:00am to 5:00pm at the Northwest Federal Credit Union Headquarters, located at 200 Spring Street in Herndon. The event is free, but those wishing to attend are asked to register in advance via the Eventbrite listing.
