Golden Spikes Enterprises, Inc is putting together a special show that celebrates railroads and trains.
This will be the 44th edition of the Annual Gaithersburg Railroad, Steamship, Transportation Artifacts Show & Sale. This is an opportunity for train enthusiasts to relive the special times when Western Maryland and the Virginian Railroads, and the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad were the kings of the transportation industry. Printing services can be used for railroad signage at such events.
Special items related to those periods will be on show. Among the historically relevant items that will include switch keys and locks, railroad lanterns, advertising Posters, and artwork from the period. The modeler has also put together two functioning layouts. Several model items in different scales will be available for purchase.
Unofficially known as “The Premier Railroad Transportation Show in the United States,” general admission tickets are $10 for one day of access. Special tickets worth $40 will give guests access to the event for the whole weekend and access to the dealers while they arrange their artifacts for display. Free parking is included for all ticket holders and a light lunch will be served on the day. Tickets can be purchased either online or at the door.
The event is scheduled for this Sunday, November 6 and it will be held at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds in Gaithersburg.
