Model train builders and lovers of transportation-related artifacts may wish to ensure that they have saved space in their calendar for a Gaithersburg event planned with them in mind.
For the past 40 years, Golden Spike Enterprises, Inc. has organized the Annual Gaithersburg Railroad-Steamship-Transportation Artifact Show and Sale, and this year will be no exception. It will include as many as 400 tables filled with displays of items that were once used on the country’s railroads, and there will also be a vendor area to browse through.
The expo is open to any age, and those who wish to be on site when the dealers arrive will have an opportunity to do so. Food will be available for purchase, and anyone who can use some inspiration in designing their own track and scenery layouts can examine some that will be prepared just for the occasion.
Admission to the show is $9 each, and children who are 12 and under will not be asked to pay an entry fee. The event will run throughout the weekend, and there is lots of free parking at the venue. An area printings services provider can meet with the organizers of an event like this to discuss their Print needs and then supply them with the items they require for the occasion to be a success.
This year’s railroad show and sale has been planned for the first weekend in November, starting on November 2, at 501 Perry Parkway. Anyone with questions has been asked to contact (703) 536 – 2954.
