‘The Christmas Express’ will be performed at a venue in Gaithersburg, opening near the end of this month.

The play tells the story of one Hilda Intones and her assistant Satch, who run the Holly Railway Station together. Suddenly, a stranger by the name of Leo Tannenbaum appears on Christmas Eve. Upon his arrival, strange goings-on seem to start happening in the town.

These include an old radio that has not worked in years springing to life, an untalented group of local carollers suddenly gaining talent, and the whole town seeming to get into the spirit of Christmas out of nowhere. As the play moves on, more about this strange visitor is revealed and the town discovers the truth about Christmas.

‘The Christmas Express’ will be performed at the Arts Barn, which is a renovated barn that used to be a part of the Tschiffely estate. It houses not just a 99-seat theatre, but also hosts various art classes, studios, and exhibits as well as a gift shop featuring many artist-made items. It is located at 311 Kent Square Road.

The opening night of the play will be on November 26, and the final performance will be on December 12. Tickets will run from $15 to $22. As with most theater performances, attendees can expect to receive a complimentary playbook, the likes of which are often made with the help of flyer printing companies.
