The annual Winter Lights Festival event will return to Gaithersburg this year.

Visitors to the event will be driving 3.5 miles through more than 450 light displays and, if they wish, listening to 97.1 WASH FM's holiday music selection.

Guests have been given some tips to make their experience as enjoyable as possible. Dinner should be eaten before the event or snacks and drinks should be brought and consumed during it. Cars should have more than enough fuel and be equipped with a phone charger. Also, restrooms should be used before leaving home, though port-a-johns will be available at the event.

Guests have also been informed of the event's safety rules and traffic laws. Vehicle drivers must wear a mask at the admissions booth. Also, everyone must stay in their vehicles and not stop along the route.

Tickets go on sale on the Gaithersburg website on Wednesday, October 20th, and are priced at $15 for Monday to Thursday tickets and $25 from Friday to Sunday. They must be purchased in advance for a specific date as the admissions booth will not sell them this year. If guests cannot Print their tickets at home, they can use local printing services.

The dates are November 26 to December 31, except December 25. For more information, prospective guests can call 301-258-6350.
