The gym closed its doors for three months in order to conduct renovations worth $1.7m, which brought new facilities such as HydroMassage beds in a spa area, and a recovery lounge.
The Gaithersburg branch of Planet Fitness can be found at 225 Muddy Branch Road. Outlets like this can use poster printing to let the public know when they will be open.
The new facility now has 14,316 square feet of space. Access to the new spa area will be restricted to guests who carry PF Black Cards, while the new recovery lounge offers an area where people can rest after working out. The lounge is equipped with tools designed to help people relieve the aches and pains associated with working out and to improve circulation. Members using the lounge can also enjoy different types of therapy, such as compression, hot, and cold therapy to boost their recovery times.

Planet Fitness in Gaithersburg first opened its doors in October 2010 and is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
