Gaithersburg event to bring out the best in locals
The Casey Community Center will be hosting the Be Your Best Fest in Gaithersburg this September, aiming to highlight opportunities for skill development and recreation as the fall begins.
The event will focus on family-friendly entertainment, including a magic show, a performance by ArtStream Inc, and a karate demonstration. Visitors can also try out various recreational classes such as dance, hula, and yoga, as well as creative activities like arts and crafts. There will be an exhibit on the honeybee hosted by local expert Norma Bell.
Be Your Best Fest is sponsored by Gaithersburg’s Department of Parks, Recreation & Culture with the goal of promoting local involvement. It will also contain representatives of other community organizations like the Financial Empowerment Center, Multicultural Affairs Committee, and Benjamin Gaither Center. Organizations often use brochure printing and visual displays to help inform people of their role at events like this.
The festival will also include tacos and other food supplied by local Mexican restaurant Don Jorge’s, and a free balloon and popcorn for all visitors. Web promotion for the event depicts it as a way to encourage growth and self-actualization among people young and old, with the mantra:
