Needle felting can be used to create a variety of handcrafted items, and a Gaithersburg area workshop will teach those new to the craft how they can learn the techniques while making a felted cactus to keep or give to a friend.
The two hour long class will cover the basics of needle felting, including how to form and shape the structures. The sculptures will be three dimensional, and the organizers noted that it can be easy to learn and also fun.
All of the materials needed to make the cactus will be provided, and the ticket price, which starts at $40, also includes a complementary drink of wine or beer. Modern Market will be supplying salad and pizza, which will be served buffet style, and there will be lots of time for the group to chat and have fun while they work.
All experience levels, from those completely new to needle felting to those who have Bags of experience, are welcome to be a part of this event. Flyer printing can be used to create marketing materials that can help to ensure an event like this is well attended.
The ‘Make Your Own Succulent’ class has been planned for the afternoon of July 21. It will be held at 4930 Elm Street, and is scheduled to begin at 3:00 pm, continuing to 5:00 pm.
