Children and local businesses get support from Gaithersburg Chamber

The Gaithersburg Germantown Chamber of Commerce is holding a special Business Networking After Five/Fall Cocktail Reception later this month.

Sponsored by Pinky & Pepe’s Grape Escape in Gaithersburg, it will be a way for the Chamber to give thanks to its members as the Thanksgiving holiday approaches. There will be beer, wine, and networking.

There will be no charge for the evening but attendees will be asked to support Toys for Tots and bring a new, unwrapped toy to the event. Toys for Tots is a program run by the United States Marine Corps Reserve that is designed to collect these toys during the last three months of the year. They are then distributed as Christmas gifts to children who are less fortunate in the community in which the campaign is conducted.

This different type of networking event will be held this Thursday, November 19, from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm.

The Chamber is also encouraging those in the area to support Small Business Saturday, which was founded by American Express in 2010 as a way to help local business owners in the community to acquire more customers. Small Business Saturday will be on Saturday, November 28.

Most likely a local Print company is being used by the Chamber to promote these special events and occasions in an effort to support its members.
