There are several events occurring in Gaithersburg in January.
The Maryland Chapter of the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA) is hosting its annual winter social. The CFMA Winter Dinner for 2020 will take place at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, located at 106 Crown Park Avenue.
Networking and cocktails will initiate the evening at 5:00 pm on January 9. Dinner starts at 6:00 pm and the event will end at 9:00 pm, no doubt after many Business Cards have been exchanged. The CFMA announced its excitement for the New Year with the community.
The cost is $125 for members of the CFMA and $135 for non-members. There are also opportunities for sponsorships. Sponsoring cocktail hour or dessert costs $200, while sponsoring dinner costs $500.
On January 18, The Arts Barn will show the 1945 adventure film Captain Kidd staring Charles Laughton, Barbara Britton, and Randolph Scott. Part of the venue's Matinee Saturdays Arts on the Green, the film will start at 2:00 pm and is set to end around 4:30 pm. The Arts Barn is located at 311 Kent Square Road.
Tickets are $5 and available online, phone, or at the door. The movie is suitable for children aged 10 and over. The plot is about a pirate in the employment of British king William III who kidnaps a woman and the mission to rescue her.
