A new location for the British Swim School opened at the end of October, giving the company 12 locations in Montgomery County.
The program teaches infant and toddler water safety in non-traditional ways that are reported to have great success. A grand opening was held on October 23 and included prizes, events, and excitement for the whole family.
The new school is located in the former Marriott pool on Boardwalk Place, which has its own entrance on Washingtonian Center. The school is run by the British Swim School Central Maryland, and is a franchise location. The company teaches more than a thousand lessons a month to those in Frederick and Montgomery County, and focuses on teaching water survival and safety first, then swimming skills afterwards. Swim lessons take a yearlong approach, instead of focusing on specific sessions. Learners are also sorted into groups based on skills instead of age.
Grand openings are often exciting events both for companies and residents. Businesses often give away a lot of promotional items created with Logo Design and other graphic design techniques. Banner printing may advertise local sponsors or vendors at the event.
The British Swim School grand opening also included enrollment offers and giveaways for everyone who attended. A raffle was organized as well, and included prizes from Washingtonian Rio.
