BioHub Maryland has announced a biopharmaceutical and life sciences skills training arrangement with the National Institute of Bioprocessing Research and Training.
The Gaithersburg-based initiative aims to promote life sciences and is partnering with a company that produces biopharmaceutical manufacturing, conducts research, and teaches.
As a result of this collaboration, BioHub Maryland will be the exclusive supplier of training programs licensed by NIBRT in the region. Governor Wes Moore made the news at AstraZeneca's Gaithersburg headquarters with representatives from NIBRT and BioHub Maryland.
The collaboration allows BioHub to provide the globally trusted curriculum of NIBRT to Veterans and people of disadvantaged communities who are interested in life sciences. The curriculum also allows firms in the industry to train their staff.
BioHub Maryland intends to teach students in a cutting-edge multipurpose facility that includes innovative industrial bioprocessing technology by 2024. Biomanufacturing principles, quality control, data analysis, gene treatments, and vaccine manufacturing are among the topics covered in training. BioHub Maryland formed a training node relationship with Hood College that will provide students at their training center with the NIBRT technical training program. Certificates tend to feature the Logo Design of the institution that presents it.
The AstraZeneca campus in Gaithersburg is one of three global R&D centers dedicated to increasing pipeline output and positioning the firm as an internationally recognized innovator in the industry of biopharmaceutical innovation.
