Artificial intelligence company to build housing in Devens

MassDevelopment has finalized the sale of land spanning two acres in Devens on Adams Circle to Reframe Systems, Inc.

Reframe will develop six duplexes for a total of 12 housing units on the property. Each unit will span 2,100 square feet, have three full bathrooms, and four bedrooms and meet Efficient New Homes standards. There are six modules per unit. Each unit will be assembled and delivered in one day. As required by the Devens Reuse Plan, three units will be income restricted.

Brochure printing can be used to provide more details on such housing, their features, and their pricing.

Reframe is an AI company that uses advanced automation and robotics to build high-performance building components at its production facility in Andover. This enables manufacturing and preparation of the site to take place at the same time, dramatically reducing construction timelines. After installation, interior finishes, on-site construction, and landscaping will take place.

Eric Paley, economic secretary and chair of the board of directors of MassDevelopment, said:

“Reframe reflects the strength of Massachusetts’ advanced manufacturing capabilities.”

He added that by applying innovative construction and robotics to building homes, the company is helping to address one the biggest challenges of producing more housing quickly and affordably.

The first four modules will be completed in July and the eight remaining units will be delivered between August and October.
