Reframe Systems Inc. has recently purchased two acres of land at Adams Circle in Devens, which it will develop six duplexes on the site.
Each unit will span 2,100 square feet and have three full bathrooms and four bedrooms and meet Efficient New Homes standards. The Devens Reuse Plan will restrict the income of those purchasing three of the units.
Reframe is based in Massachusetts and uses advanced automation, robotics, and artificial intelligence to build high performance building components at its production facility in Andover. This enables the preparation of sites and manufacturing to take place at the same time and help to reduce construction timelines.
Eric Paley, economic development secretary and chair of the board of directors of MassDevelopment, said that Reframe demonstrates the advanced manufacturing capabilities that are capable of being carried out in Massachusetts. He added that the use of innovative construction and robotics are helping to produce housing in Devens more quickly, sustainably, and affordably with the potential to be used across the state to speed up the production of housing and increase affordability.

Each unit has six modules which can be delivered and assembled in one day. It is expected that the first four homes will be completed in July of this year and the remaining eight to be delivered between August and October 2026.
