The Sargent Memorial Library in Boxborough will be holding some special events throughout the month, which residents of nearby Devens might be interested in.
The Meeting Room of the library will have photographs on display by Bill Linnane, a resident of Boxborough. Linnane is well known throughout town. He was a pioneer of cutting-edge technologies at Harvard and MIT, and as a musician, his band opened for some of the greatest artists in the world for their tours in the United States.
He has always had a passion for creativity, and his efforts have since expanded into the visual arts. His photographic work has been on exhibit at the DeCordova Museun and will be on display at the library in Boxborough until the end of this month.
There will also be a Crafternoon for Kids in the Children’s Room at the library later this month. This program is for children in kindergarten and older. This will be an afternoon for those who enjoy making things. A new craft or art project is done during these programs and enables kids to learn how they relate to history, science, or math, or how they are just fun to do. This program will be from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 30.
Such programs and exhibits can be promoted throughout a town and neighboring communities with poster printing.
