New cleanroom facility opens in Devens

Azzur Cleanrooms on Demand (COD) has opened a new facility in Devens on Jackson Road. The company is a market leader and service provider for GxP (good practice) testing and manufacturing.

This new facility has 30 cleanrooms in addition to Advanced Therapy Medicinal Product analytical and microbiology laboratories, controlled temperature storage, other storage space, and conference and conference spaces, all of which can be used by clients. Approximately 60 new jobs will be created by this facility, including support services and staff positions. The latter positions often require business card printing services.

The COD model from Azzur provides turnkey GMP (good manufacturing practice) support to the medical device, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical industries. This features on-demand cleanroom facilities as well as a comprehensive suite of support services designed to help bring innovation across the life sciences and medicines sector.

This facility in Devens is Azzur’s fifth cleanroom, joining ones located in Burlington and Waltham; Vista, California; and Raleigh, North Carolina. Each location was chosen for its proximity to growing or established life sciences hubs.

President of Azzur Labs and Azzur Cleanrooms on Demand, Sarah Stevens, said that Azzur has a unique advantage in its ability to facilitate innovation and support, allowing clients to move quickly, be flexible, and develop risk mitigation strategies covering cash flow, intellectual property, and all related areas.
