The Billy Armando Memorial Golf Tournament, which is held in honor of a former Canton Recreation Commissioner, will take place this October.
The tournament will have a scramble format and kick off with a shotgun start at 10:00 am. Participants should register by next Saturday, September 29. The cost is $720 for a group of four, which includes the use of a golf cart and meals throughout the day. Coffee and donuts for breakfast, a boxed lunch, and a buffet dinner will all be served. Hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar will be available at 3:30 pm, followed by dinner at 4:00 pm. During dinner, golfers will be able to enter raffles, and awards will be presented for the best teams.
There are several sponsorship opportunities available for local businesses. Depending on the sponsorship level, the company’s Logo Design will be featured on items including golf towels and player gifts.
Billy Armando was a lifelong Canton resident who was dedicated to serving the community and making it a great place to live. The funds raised during the golf tournament will support scholarships for two local high school seniors and some of the programs Armando started during his time at the Parks and Recreation department.
The golf tournament will take place on Tuesday, October 10 at Blue Hill Country Club. Check-in will start at 9:00 am.
