Canton Heritage festival celebrates 5 years

The 5th Annual Canton Heritage Festival is taking place at the Paul Revere Heritage Site this spring.

The free event will include vendor and community group tables, food, kids’ activities, historical reenactments and live music. Vendors often use banner printing services to display their business names at their tables during this type of event. Last year’s vendors offered a wide variety of items, including art, clothing, pottery, pet products and candles. A list of participating vendors and the performance lineup will be posted on the Paul Revere Site’s website closer to the event.

Free parking will be available in the new Heritage lot and the Canton Junction and Canton Center MBTA lots. Shuttles will run from the Canton Junction parking lot to the festival area throughout the event. Anyone parked in the Heritage lot needs to leave by 3:30 pm, when the gates will close. Applications for sponsors, vendors and performers are open now. Those interested in participating can sign up online.

The Paul Revere Heritage Site includes trails covering seven acres of land with interpretive Signs, a museum housed in a historic barn and the Copper Rolling Mill, which has a restaurant and a rotating collection of exhibits.

The Canton Heritage Festival is scheduled for Saturday, May 16, from 10 am to 3 pm, at the Paul Revere Heritage Site.
