Massachusetts holiday concert to return

Canton-area radio station Kiss 108 will once again be hosting its annual Jingle Ball concert, inviting major names in pop music to celebrate the holidays.

The concert, taking place in Boston, will be headlined by the Jonas Brothers, the family pop group that emerged in the 2000s and has remained a radio staple since. Hip-hop hitmakers the Black-Eyed Peas will also provide a 2000s feel to the show. Trendy rapper Doja Cat will appear as well as her collaborator Saweetie. Other acts include Canadian singer-songwriter and dancer Tate McRae, R&B singer Bazzi, Dixie D’Amelio, and Tai Verdes.

The Boston Jingle Ball concert is one of multiple events with the same name held across North America, sponsored by iHeartRadio-affiliated radio stations. Participating artists in 2021 will tour 10 cities, beginning in Fort Worth, Texas, and ending in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Kiss108 will be giving away tickets to the event through on-air contests. The station broadcasts to Boston and surrounding areas like Canton. Radio contests like this are still an important part of marketing for concerts and music festivals, alongside common tools like flyer printing and social media.

The Boston edition of the Jingle Ball will take place at TD Garden on December 12. Attendees must provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative test, and wear masks when not eating or drinking.
