The Canton Association of Business and Industry (CABI) is hosting its 21st annual road race this September.
The race includes 5K and 10K events as well as a kids’ fun run. The kids’ run will start at 9:30 am, followed by the 5K and 10K at 10:00 am. Awards and post-race activities will begin at 11:00 am. Prizes will be given in several categories, including the top three overall finishers and the top finishers in each age and gender bracket. Local companies can also participate in the corporate challenge, which allows runners to enter in teams and compete for the best combined race time.
Online registration is open now. The fee is $33.90 for adults entering either the 5K or 10K race and $28.25 for students 17 and younger for either race. Kids can participate in the fun run for $11.30. Those who sign up by September 12 will receive a race T-shirt. Race organizers often work with graphic design experts to create custom shirts.
Proceeds from the race will support local nonprofits and help fund student scholarships at Canton High School and Blue Hills Regional Technical School. CABI will announce the details about the donation recipients after the event.
The 21st Annual Canton Road Race will take place on Sunday, September 28, starting and finishing at Trillium Brewery.
