Canton Parks and Recreation is hosting a Halloween Parade and Trunk or Trunk event for the town’s residents this October.
The Halloween Parade will start at Bank of Canton on Washington Street and lead to Canton High School where the Trunk or Treat portion of the event will take place. Participants of all ages are invited to attend in costumes. This includes children in strollers. In addition to showing off costumes and collecting candy, participants will receive goodie Bags and be able to participate in other seasonal activities. The trunk or trunk part of the event will include music from DJ Mike Pride, Halloween activities like pumpkin painting and seasonal refreshments like apple cider and cider donuts.
The event is free, but participants need to register in advance through the Canton Parks and Recreation website. Both parade participants and those interested in decorating a trunk or treat spot need to sign up. Those who register their vehicle for trunk or treat are encouraged to decorate the space creatively. Guidelines for decorations are available on the Parks and Recreation website. Towns often use flyer printing services to promote this type of event to their residents.
Canton’s Halloween celebration will take place on Sunday, October 30, from 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm. Parade participants will start lining up at 12:30 pm.
