The Canton Parks and Recreation department is celebrating Independence Day a little early this summer.
The festival and fireworks display will take place at the Irish Cultural Centre. On the day, the gates will open at 6:30 pm, and activities and entertainment will begin at 6:45 pm. These will include face painting and airbrush tattoo artists, as well as inflatable slides and bouncers. Starting at 7:00 pm, Classic Trax will take to the stage. The group performs throughout New England and has won the Boston’s Best Cover Band award five times.
The fireworks display will begin at 9:00 pm and will last around half an hour. The Irish Cultural Centre Pub will be open for attendees to purchase food and beverages throughout the evening. Local parks departments often use poster printing services to promote their community events.
The celebration is free to attend, and attendees do not need to sign up. Coolers will not be permitted and security will be performing bag Checks at the entrance. Attendees will not be able to access the Irish Cultural Centre from Ward Well Road, so they should plan to enter the event from New Boston Drive.
The Independence Day Celebration will take place on Sunday, June 30 from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm at the Irish Cultural Centre. In case of rain, it will be rescheduled for the following day, Monday, July 1.
