Canton historic site to host holiday fair

The Paul Revere Heritage Site in Canton is hosting its 3rd annual Sweets and Treats Holiday Fair this December.

The fair will include activities for both adults and children. Activities will include coloring, cookie decorating, hat and ornament designing, and photo opportunities with Grandma Sugar. More than 25 vendors will be selling food, hot cocoa, and a variety of handcrafted items, including quilts. Vendors often use banner printing services to highlight their business names at their tables at this type of event.

Attendees can also see gingerbread house construction contest entries and vote for their favorites. Those interested in entering the contest can sign up online, but need to do this no later than tomorrow, November 24. Prizes will be awarded for the best creative and best traditional gingerbread houses in multiple age categories. Rules for entries and other details about the contest are listed on the sign-up form.

Those attending the fair are invited to see the SITE-Inspired art exhibit, which features artwork from members of the community who are related to or inspired by the Paul Revere Heritage Site. Attendees are also welcome to explore the historic buildings, especially the Yellow Barn built between 1845 and 1855.

The holiday fair will take place on Saturday, December 2 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Paul Revere Heritage Site in Copper Mill Hall, and also in the Yellow Barn.
