Canton Chamber to host transit and real estate conference

The Metro South Chamber of Commerce and the New England Real Estate Journal (NEREJ) are hosting a half-day conference on real estate and public transportation this fall.

Tracks to Transformation: Integrating Real Estate and Public Transportation will include a keynote speaker, a panel discussion and time for networking. It will cover topics like building mixed-use neighborhoods to make communities more walkable, placing homes and businesses near transit hubs and ensuring that underserved communities have equal access to transit services. Attendees often use business card printing services to prepare for conferences. Registration opens at 8:00 am, and a continental breakfast will be served.

Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority CEO Phillip Eng will give the keynote talk. Eng is a civil engineer and has 40 years of experience in public transportation. Panelists for the second talk will be announced closer to the event.

Tickets are available on the Chamber’s website now. The cost is $99 per non-member and $79 per member. The Metro South Chamber’s members include professionals and business owners from Canton and other towns in the area. Those interested in sponsorships should contact Rick Kaplan to discuss options and pricing.

The Tracks to Transformation summit will take place on Thursday, October 30, from 8:00 am to 11:30 am at Showcase Cinema de Lux in Randolph.
