The Metro South Chamber of Commerce is hosting its annual ATHENA Leadership Award luncheon event this June.
The Chamber partners with ATHENA International to present the award. Members were invited to submit nominations for individuals who have helped women reach their potential as leaders, have a record of excellence in their careers and have a commitment to helping the community. The winner will be announced during the luncheon. Kim Driscoll, the Lieutenant Governor of Massachusetts, will be the guest speaker. Organizations often work with Print shops to create programs for this type of event.
Those planning to attend can register on the Chamber’s website. The ticket price is $39 per member and $49 per non-member. The Metro South Chamber’s members include business leaders from Canton and other towns in the region.
ATHENA International has recognized more than 8000 women and girls in 500 regions around the world for their leadership and accomplishments since its founding in 1982. The group runs a leadership institute for women and girls of different ages and life stages ranging from middle school students to working professionals. It also manages the awards program, which includes the Leadership Award and other awards designed to recognize accomplishments at different life stages.
The 27th Annual ATHENA Leadership Awards Luncheon will take place on Thursday, June 12 from 11:45 am to 1:30 pm at Massasoit Community College.
