Canton business group to hold golf afternoon

The Canton Association of Business and Industry (CABI) is hosting its Tom Clark Golf Event, which has taken place annually since 2007, this June.

The event will include nine holes of golf and several extra contests. Golf carts are included in the entry fee. Participants can compete for the best putt, the straightest drive, the closest to the pin and a hole-in-one contest with a $17,000 prize. Registration opens at 2:30 pm and the golf game will begin with a shotgun start at 3:00 pm. After the game, golfers will meet at the clubhouse for networking and social time from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Drinks will be available for purchase, and the Milton Hoosic Club is cash-only.

Those planning to attend should register on the CABI website by Friday, May 31. The cost is $110 per person or $440 per foursome. Non-golfers can attend the evening social portion of the event for $35. Local businesses are also invited to sponsor a hole for $50. Businesses can also donate items for raffle prizes. Organizers often work with Print shops to create Signs to recognize sponsors at this type of event.

The Tom Clark Golf Event will take place on Monday, June 17 from 2:30 pm to 7:00 pm at Milton Hoosic Club. The rain date will be the following Monday, June 24.
