The Neponset River Regional Chamber of Commerce, which has been operating in some form since 1894, is hosting its 130th annual meeting this January.
The meeting will include chamber business such as electing new officers and directors and presenting annual awards to members who have achieved significant goals throughout the year. A guest speaker, Ed Augustus, will also give a presentation. Augustus is the Secretary of the Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities, a newly formed Massachusetts agency that works on both increasing the housing supply and reducing housing costs. The agency also runs shelters, public housing and multiple-level funding.
Those planning to attend the meeting can register on the Chamber’s website. The cost is $40 per person for members and $60 for non-members. The Neponset River Regional Chamber includes members from Canton and other towns throughout the area. Those attending in groups can also book a table of 10 for $400. Three sponsorship tiers are available. Businesses can become table sponsors for $1,000, friends of the Chamber for $2,000 and premier underwriters for $3,000. All of these include seats for 10 attendees. Sponsoring businesses often give out Promotional Products to further promote their brands.
The annual meeting will take place on Thursday, January 18 from 7:30 am to 9:00 am at the Four Points by Sheraton Norwood Hotel and Conference Center.
